About
Growing up in Brazil, I’ve always been drawn to understanding how things work at a fundamental level whether that’s a search algorithm, a compliance system, or the electrical wiring of my home.
My interest in computer science began in high school, when I earned an Integrated Technical High School Diploma in Information Technology at the Instituto Federal do Piauí. That’s where I first discovered an aptitude for programming and problem solving. I went on to earn a BSc in Computer Science at the Universidade Federal do Tocantins, where my thesis covered the proximal point algorithm for minimizing convex functions of a single real variable. During my degree I also studied abroad at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, through the Science Without Borders program, which broadened both my technical and cultural perspective.
Current Work
My current wor involves building software across backend systems, REST APIs, data pipelines, and frontend development mostly through long-term remote contracts with US-based companies. I’ve worked independently for most of my career, which means I’m used to owning problems end to end and delivering without guidance.
Research Interests
Optimization, Algorithms, Applied Mathematics and Linear and Nonlinear Programming.
